Renowned musician and Medical Doctor Joram O. Nyirongo, has today released a thought-provoking song titled State of the Nation Address (SONA ) which addresses the disparities in development between African countries and the Western countries.
The song which is available on YouTube and all major streaming platforms was produced by DJ Sley in the capital Lilongwe.
In an interview with 247 Malawi News, Dr. Joram expressed his concern about the stark contrast between Africa’s development and that of the Western world.
“I am truly concerned to see Africans living in grass-thatched houses without electricity, yet technological advancements exist to change our livelihood,” he said.
When asked about the music industry in Malawi, Dr. Joram said it is changing rapidly and that it is an exciting time to be an artist.
The Medical Doctor started singing and playing guitars at 10.
He has released two albums to date titled ‘Some Serious Decisions’ in 2012 and ‘1987’ in 2022.
He promised to release more music this year, along with live performances and concerts across the country.
