“This feature enables customers to save on transaction fees and manage their finances more effectively, empowering individuals and businesses to participate more fully in the formal economy, contributing to overall economic growth and prosperity,” explained Luka.
He added that the initiative will assist the unbanked to receive and develop a saving culture as they will be able to keep the money in their phones.
“We hope this innovation will assist those organisations that conduct social cash transfers, payments of salaries to workers, and allowances to people, especially those that live far from banks,” he said.
Luka was of the view that the business internet banking platform is a game changer that will contribute to the growth and prosperity of the nation.
