In a heartwarming display of commitment to education, Zomba Central legislator, Honourable Bester Awali, has distributed suitcases to 68 deserving learners from Zomba Urban who excelled in the recent Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) examinations. This thoughtful gesture aims to acknowledge and appreciate the hard work and dedication of these young achievers.
The 68 learners, who were selected to attend various secondary schools, were beaming with joy as they received their suitcases from Honourable Awali.
This kind act not only demonstrates Awali’s dedication to his constituents but also serves as a motivation for the learners to continue striving for excellence.
Zomba Urban Coordinating Primary Education Advisor, James Kumbani, expressed pride in the education district’s outstanding performance in the PSLCE examinations, citing a remarkable 98 percent pass rate.
Kumbani attributed this success to the hardworking spirit amongst learners and teachers, saying, “The achievements of our learners are a testament to the dedication and commitment of our teachers and the community.”
Honourable Awali’s initiative has been praised by the community, with many hailing it as a timely intervention that will inspire learners to work even harder.
“This gesture will motivate our children to take their education seriously, knowing that their hard work will be recognized and rewarded,” said a parent.
