The 2024 TNM Super League in Malawi continued to deliver an exciting display of football on its second day of matches. Fans were treated to gripping encounters as teams battled it out on the pitch to secure vital points early in the season.
In the first match of the day, Wanderers faced off against Kamuzu Barracks in a closely contested affair that ended in a 1-1 draw. Wanderers took the lead through Kumwembe’s goal in the 29th minute, but Kamuzu Barracks fought back and equalized in the 72nd minute courtesy of Zeliat Nkhoma. Both teams showed great determination and skill, setting the tone for the thrilling matches to follow.
Creck emerged victorious in their match against Tigers with a 3-1 win. Hadji Wali opened the scoring for Creck in the 27th minute, followed by Dalitso Nahipa’s goal in the 32nd minute. Tigers managed to pull one back with Masambero Kalua finding the back of the net in the 45th minute, but Babaginda Ishaya sealed the victory for Creck with a goal of his own.
Mzuzu City secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Civo in a hard-fought match. Isaac Msiska was the hero for Mzuzu City, scoring the decisive goal in the 77th minute to give his team all three points.
In the final match of the day, Baka City suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Karonga. Blessings Mwalilino’s goal in the 65th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides as Karonga emerged victorious.
The second day of matches in the 2024 TNM Super League showcased the competitive nature of the teams involved. Players exhibited skill, determination, and passion for the game, providing fans with exciting football action.
