It seems the Hellen Chabunya saga is refusing to die down. Social media has embraced the latest release of Malawi women national team squad with calls that Chabunya need to see the list as it is once again dominated by Northerners
The Malawi national Women’s football team Coach Lovemore Fazili has named a 22 member squad for the 2022 Cosafa tournament scheduled for 31 August to 11 September 2022 in South Africa.
The team is expected to leave this afternoon through Chileka International Airport.
Goalkeepers: Mercy Sikelo, Ruth Mhango, Martha Banda
Defenders: Emily Jossam,Ruth Nyirongo, Chimwemwe Madise, Patricia Nyirenda,Ireen Khumalo,Fatsireni Kazembe and Bernadettar Mkandawire.
Midfielders: Rose Kabzere, Chikondi Gondwe, Mphatso Gondwe,Wezzie Mvula,Madyina Nguluwe and Jessy Yosefe.
Strikers: Asimenye Simwaka, Sabina Thom,Tabitha Chawinga, Mary Chavinda,Fazila Chembekezo and Limbikani Chikupira.
