FCB Nyasa Big Bullets says it will not give unnecessary pressure by giving newly appointed gaffer Peter Mponda explicit targets.
The club announced Mponda has signed a three year contract with the People’s Team.
Chief Executive Officer Albert Chigoga said Mponda’s contract is based on performance.
Chigoga explained the club recognizes it is in every coach’s interest to win matches and titles emphasizing they will support Mponda with everything he needs to achieve glory.
Coach Mponda expressed his delight to be back at his mother club after being away at Silver Strikers FC.
Mponda managed to end an 11 year drought without a trophy at the bankers.
Before going to the capital city Mponda deputized legendary Kalitso Pasuwa whose contract ended.
As Pasuwa’s deputy, he won three league titles, one FDH Bank Cup and one Airtel Top8 Cup, before he left to get a coaching role at South African side Black Leopards.
Mponda is being touted as “most exciting and highly rated Malawian young coaches.”
