Former MBC Radio Announcer ‘Kafumbi Njewa’ dies at the age of 85

Death has been announced by the former Malawi Broadcasting Corporation(MBC) announcer Wilson Kafumbi Njewa who has died at the age of 85.

Njewa died on Saturday at Kamuzu Central Hospital in Lilongwe after a long battle with cancer

The body of Njewa will be laid to rest on Monday 23 January, 2023 at Area 18 Cemetery in Lilongwe.

MBC Director General, George Kasakula, has since described described the fallen broadcaster a humble man who always wished others well.

Born on 2 February 1938 Wilson Kufumba Njewa survived by four children, ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
