Sad news within the politicalsphere as Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Machinga Central Constituency, Shaibu Jones Kaliati has died at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Blantyre.
United Democratic Front UDF General Secretary, Kandi Padambo has confirmed a while ago that Kaliati, a former UDF deputy national director of youths died this morning after battling a long illness.
Padambo has described Honourable Kaliati as diligent member of their party, whose contribution to the country’s development will not be forgotten.
Kaliati served as MP fom 2009 to 2019, and as UDF’s deputy national director of youths from 2012 to 2018, before it was restructured to a youth wing.
