Moyale Barracks long serving striker Gasten Simkonda has on Monday February 5,2024 announced his retirement from active football at the age of 31.
He made the announcement through his club’s official Facebook page.
“I have done my part at Moyale and I am leaving the football game a happy person,” he said.
Sinkonda, was one of the pivotal players for the team last season, as he managed to save his team from Relegation chop after scoring nine goals.
In the 2013-2014 TNM Super League season,he won the Golden Boot Award after bagging 17 goals.
The attacker joined the Barracks team on January 1, 2016 till his retirement.
Meanwhile,the club has wished him all the best on his decision.
