HR Society of Malawi set for the annual general conference this month

The Human Resource Society of Malawi (HRSM) says it will from October 26 to 28,2023 hold its Annual General Conference (AGC) at Sigelege Beach Resort in Salima.

Speaking in an interview with 247 Malawi News, HRSM Secretary General Robin Kajasiche said the AGC has been organised with an aim of empowering those working in the same profession to play their roles towards fulfillment of the Malawi Vision 2063.

He said the AGC will be held under the theme ‘Leveraging Human Resource (HR) Society of Malawi’s presence as a Catalyst and Partner for Malawi 2063’.

According to Kajasiche, among those who have been invited to attend the conference include Minister of Labour Honourable Agnes Nyalonje who will be the guest of honour,the Malawi School of Government Director General Professor Asiyati Chiweza,the Registrar of Industrial Relations Court Honourable Peter Kandulu, and Garton Kamchedzera, an associate professor of Law at the University of Malawi.

The GS concluded that the AGC’s thematic areas shall include; Nurturing efficient and coherent governance systems at work places, comprehend emerging trends in employment laws to be held by Professor Asiyati Chiweza and Honourable Kandulu respectively and Taming corruption at the work place, an HR perspective by Professor Garton Kamchedzera.

HRSM is a professional body that was formed to advance HR excellence among trained human resource management practitioners in Malawi through capacity building.

The body ensures that HR specialists are up to date with emerging trends in the HR space.
