President and Commander in Chief of Muvi wa Chilungamo Revolutionary Party (MRP) Bantu Saunders Jumah, says Malawi politics has a problem of bandaging problems saying the country needs civilization and civic education.
Jumah has observed that when citizens are not civic educated, they end up choosing bad leaders and government to govern them noting with a great concern that 6 governments and leaders have gone, the country is still poor as it was in 1964.
He said political parties have a mandate to civic educate their supporters and citizens for them to be enlightened and understand what politics is so that they should not be repeating choosing bad leaders and government to govern them.
Speaking through a Revolutionary voice in various media platforms, Jumah said Malawi has gone down because of electing bad leaders who bandage problems claiming that the country has only 500 megawatts of electricity to the entire 20 million plus citizens.
Jumah said out of K100, K90 goes for consumption through allowances, corruption, and salaries while K10 is for development saying this has made the country collapse and it is not a surprise that living standards of the citizens, is down.
He said President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera must show that he is unbandaging the wounds if he is to live a legacy of being a good leader warning Malawians that if they keep on voting for leaders bandaging problems, the country should forget about any development.
The MRP President said Malawi has over 500 species of fish on Lake Malawi, 6 governments and 6 political parties have gone with no factory for processing tinned fish, that is bandaging the problem, seating on Public Sector Reforms, and 84 corruption suspects as named in the ACB Report, are still be hidden, bandaging the problem.
“Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika promised to prosecute Cashgate suspects, bandaging problems, President Chakwera promised to trim presidential powers, bandaging the problem,” said Jumah.
He has reminded Malawians that President Chakwera promised to end corruption but the MCP is the most corrupted government the country has ever had, saying K15 trillion has been borrowed and spent in just 4 years of its rule.
Jumah has advised President Chakwera to unbandage the wounds in his government by instituting lifestyle forensic audit by allowing the ACB and police to investigate K4 billion spent for MCP Elective Convention, arresting and prosecuting Dr. Kenneth Zikhale Ng’oma, Simplex Chithyola Banda and Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba for being found and defending dishing out money to the electorate.
He said even President Chakwera admitted that these three have broken the laws wondering how come two Ministers could dish out K76.5 million to voters in one day and one Minister found with K351 million to the voters of southern region.
