The newly appointed Malawi Congress Party(MCP) Publicity Secretary, Jessie Kabwira, has expressed optimism that the party will win the 2025 presidential election, saying the party is very powerful in all regions of the country.
Kabwira made the statement on Friday, August 16, 2024, during a press briefing at the party’s headquarters in Lilongwe.
According to Kabwira, MCP has implemented numerous projects within a short period, despite the various challenges the country has been facing.
She cited good roads, infrastructure for security officers, and favorable prices for crop produce as examples.
Kabwira emphasized that people who prioritize development will vote for MCP President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to continue developing the nation, which was allegedly damaged by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) regime.
Additionally, Kabwira stated that the party’s doors are open to everyone.
On alliances with other parties, Kabwira mentioned that the MCP is willing to collaborate with others if they accept Chakwera as the torchbearer.
