Political activist Bon Kalindo, has called on the two Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) camps infighters to always remember that Malawians are in pain and suffering and their hope is in this former ruling party to rescue them from the problems they are going through under the Tonse Alliance-led administration.
Kalindo says all Malawian eyes are on the DPP and that it is their lamp for change of government claiming that if Malawi was to change to the better, Chakwera and Chilima leadership was there to lead the citizens to the promised Canaan but they have all failed to govern Malawi.
He says people in the central region districts who mostly depend on farming are in pain and suffering for no hope of fertilizer.
He says the people are sharing fertilizer in basins after government registered one or two in each village as beneficiaries to the 2023-2024 Affordable Input Programme (AIP) farming season.
Speaking through an audio clip circulating in various social media platforms, Kalindo says Malawians are disappointed to learn that the two DPP Camps are fighting for electoral delegates saying this alone explains that there is more to come.
Kalindo has however, asked DPP aspirants for a presidential race that what is it exactly they are looking for; fame that they once stood as a presidential candidate or liberating the country appealing to them not to take Malawians for granted.
He says had it been that the DPP aspirants were strong politicians enough, they would have formed their own political parties than be part of infighting in the DPP against the choice of the DPP members Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika to liberate Malawians.
The Activist has also warned the DPP that it fails to put its house to order, it will go to the 2025 elections without a presidential candidate reminding it that the court gave it 90 days to hold an elective conference and those 90 days expired, the infighting is continuing.
‘”Reading from the writings on the wall, some people have been sponsored and sent to destroy the DPP, In America, Donald Trump wants to stand as President and why not Malawi,”says Kalindo.
He says the country has been crying for youth empowerment and leadership positions, Chakwera and Chilima have disappointed Malawians claiming that leadership should not be a question of the old and young but ability to lead the people.
Kalindo has thanked Frank Tumpale Mwenefumbo for forming his own political party appealing to DPP Presidential aspirants to borrow a leaf from Mwenefumbo other than fighting the DPP through court injunctions against injunctions.
He finally says he is seeing voter apathy, teargas, gunshots and violence in the 2025 elections as Malawians are not ready to give Chakwera and Chilima votes to bounce back into government.
