Kamodzi pledges support towards people with disability in Phalombe

A Phalombe-based concerned citizen Ndilipo Kamodzi has pledged to continue supporting people with various disabilities in the country with food items so as a way of improving their nutrition status.

Speaking at a meeting with parents of people with disabilities in Chalulu village, traditional authority(TA) Nyezerera, Kamodzi encouraged the parents to give their kids six food groups such as legumes, fruits and vegetables as they help in body building.



In her remarks, a mother to disabled Biliat Namathawa commended Kamodzi for the support he is giving to people with disability in the area.

Innocent Kachingwe, a health personnel said the tendency of running away from medical services especially at a time when children are under 5 has increased in the country, a development which is contributing to an increase in number disability individuals.
