In a rally held in Kasungu, Minister of Homeland Security and Malawi Congress Party (MCP) National Executive Committee member, Ken Zikhale Ng’oma, called on residents to ensure they register and vote in the upcoming 2025 elections. Addressing a large crowd, Ng’oma emphasized the importance of civic participation, urging eligible voters to take advantage of the voter registration process when it begins.

“The 2025 elections are a crucial opportunity for every Malawian to have a say in the direction of our country. It is your right and your responsibility to vote. The power to shape Malawi’s future is in your hands,” Ng’oma said, stressing the importance of high voter turnout.

Ng’oma also reminded the people of Kasungu of the development projects that the MCP government has delivered, highlighting improvements in infrastructure, education, and healthcare. He urged voters to choose leaders who prioritize the needs of the people and ensure the continued progress of Malawi.

His message resonated with the crowd, as many attendees expressed their readiness to participate in the 2025 elections. The event was part of MCP’s broader campaign to engage with citizens and encourage voter registration across the country ahead of the election.

The rally marks an early push by MCP to solidify its support base as the party gears up for what is expected to be a highly competitive election.
