The Minister of Information and Digitalisation, Moses Kunkuyu, has issued a warning to those who are creating and disseminating fake news that State President Dr.Lazarus Chakwera is unwell.
On Wednesday, social media was flooded with false reports that President Lazarus Chakwera is unwell.
However, Kunkuyu confirmed to Timveni Online on Thursday that the President is in office and actively preparing for his official assignments in the Southern Region starting today.
“The laws of the land are clear: developers, publishers, and spreaders of fake news will face punishment. We will apply these laws without exception,” Kunkuyu emphasized.
He also assured that Chakwera is in good health and will participate in a golf tournament in Blantyre this weekend.
