The government is also reviewing the Communications Act (2016) to criminalize the vandalism of NAS infrastructure. The vandalism of NAS infrastructure has resulted in the loss of critical information on road names and property numbers. MACRA has emphasized the importance of preserving these signages, which are essential for navigation and communication. Senior Chief Karonga, representing Paramount Chief Kyungu, joined Traditional and Faith leaders in the sensitization campaign.

By collaborating with community leaders, MACRA aims to raise awareness about the importance of protecting NAS infrastructure and promoting a culture of responsibility among community members. This initiative is part of MACRA’s efforts to ensure the successful implementation of the NAS and provide quality communication services to Malawians.
