Be Forward Wanderers midfield maestro, Francisco Madinga, has joined Georgian top flight league side FC Dila Gori on a two-year deal
Madinga who also turn up for Malawi under 20 will leave Malawi for Georgia via Ethiopia for a football career in Europe.
Wanderers’ outgoing Chairperson Gift Mkandawire confirmed the development.“He has been given an outright two-year deal. He will leave the country on Tuesday through Ethiopia. At the moment, we are just waiting for tickets and we have been assured that it will be done today and we are wishing him well,” said Mkandawire.
Nomads have kept a tight lid on the transfer fee amount.
Madinga, netted more than five goals in the just ended 2019 TNM Super League season.
He joined the Lali Lubani outfit from Namiwawa FC.
He follows the footsteps of Yamikani Chester who was signed by a Czech Republican club, in 2018.
FC Dila Gori plays in the Eronvnuli Liga and uses Tengiz Burjanadze as its home ground.
Madinga came into international limelight when he featured for the Under 20 squad at 2019 Cosafa Youth Championship in Zambia.
