Malawi Queens Centre player Takondwa Lwazi has announced her retirement from the Malawi netball team.
The player made the announcement after the team’s 64-54 victory over Tonga which helped the team to finish in position 7 at the 2023 Netball World Cup.

Lwazi said she believes that she has done her part and would like to pave for new blood in the team.
Lwazi had a great tournament having won player of the match award in the team’s emphatic victory against Barbados.
Nicknamed ‘The Hunter’, Takondwa who is a police officer by profession, has been instrumental in the team’s success over the years and the country will surely miss her talent and hard working spirit.
