Death has been announced of one of the country’s popular local musicians Jimmy T real name James Tsamba.
According to his cousin, Jimmy Zikuthera, Tsamba died on Wednesday morning after a long battle with pneumonia.
The musician stormed the airwaves in early 2000 with his ‘Mukanva zii ndatsikira kumanda’ and ‘Usathawe Ngozo’ songs.
He took a break from mainstream music industry to focus on his role as a pastor for Divine Assemblies.
Bereaved family members say burial ceremony for the musician will take place on Thursday at Mkanga Village in the area of senior chief Kapelula in Kasungu.
He is survived by two children and a wife.
