The Opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) are dreading the prospect of Dr Ken Zikhale Ng’oma becoming the Vice President of Malawi Congress Party at the forthcoming MCP elective Convention. The Party knows their chances of winning next year’s elections are over as Zikhale is a master strategist whose moves will finish DPP completely.
Zikhale Ng’oma announced a few days ago that he will be standing for the Vice Presidency position. Since his announcement,he has quickly risen to become the favourite to win the position. As it is now, it’s just a matter of the convention happening for Zikhale to be announced as the First Vice President.
This publication has accessed some WhatsApp conversations amongst DPP strategists, with them confessing that the candidate they fear most is Hon Zikhale. DPP believes Zikhale Ng’oma is just too much of a political tactician and that with him as Vice President MCP will be very difficult to beat next year.
In one of the rallies recently, Zikhale announced that he is ready to work hard so that President Chakwera should win over 70% of the votes next year. Many people doubted this , but as the days go and with Zikhale as the Vice President, delegates and MCP faithfuls are believing this will be a possibility
