Nsanje – The Malawi Congress Party (MCP) held a significant rally at Nsanje Prison Ground, where the party’s Secretary General, Richard Chimwendo Banda, announced that the government plans to distribute maize to approximately 40,000 families in the Nsanje district.
Chimwendo Banda stated that this initiative, spearheaded under the leadership of President Lazarus Chakwera, aims to alleviate the hunger crisis that has severely affected many citizens across the country. He emphasized that the government’s response to the food insecurity crisis is a critical step in ensuring that vulnerable families have access to essential food supplies.
“This distribution of maize to 40,000 families is part of our commitment to combat hunger and provide support to those most in need. Under President Chakwera’s leadership, we are taking concrete steps to address the challenges that many Malawians face,” Chimwendo Banda said during his address.
The rally served not only as a platform to announce this important initiative but also to galvanize support for the MCP ahead of the upcoming elections.
