Member of Parliament(MP) for Lilongwe South East, Steven Baba Malondera,on Tuesday donated an ambulance to Nyanja Health Centre in Senior Chief Kalumbu’s area, to facilitate easy transportation of patients to Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) and Nkhoma Hospital.
In his speech, Officer In Charge at Nyanja Health Centre,Garry Nsikula expressed heartfelt gratitude for the ambulance, highlighting its importance in providing swift referral services.
On his part,Senior Chief Kalumbu also praised the legislator’s generosity, noting that the ambulance will greatly alleviate the logistical challenges faced by the facility and the local community.
Nyanja Health Centre plays a vital role in serving a catchment area of over 56,000 people.
