Mighty Wanderers Football Club has announced the appointment of Meke Mwase as the team’s interim coach, following the resignation of Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan.
Mwase, who previously served as the Assistant Head Coach, takes the helm effective immediately.
His appointment comes after Ramadhan’s resignation letter, which was accepted by the club’s Board and Management on May 26, 2024.
“Mighty Wanderers FC 2021 Limited’s Board and Management have recieved and accepted the resignation of its Head Coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan effective May 26,2024,” reads the club’s statement in part.
It adds:”Mighty Mukuru Wanderers Football Club is grateful for Mr. Ramadhan’s service during his stay at Mighty Wanderers FC and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Ramadhan’s tenure saw the Wanderers achieve three wins, three draws, and two losses in eight Super League games, leaving the team in fifth place with 12 points.
The Nomads are chasing for the TNM Super League cup after nearly seven years without winning it.
The last time they won the championship was in 2017.
