Renowned gospel artist and minister Mike Wawoh on Sunday launched his latest album,titled ‘Aliko Amamva’, at Robins Park in Blantyre.
The album features 11 inspirational songs aimed at encouraging listeners to trust in God’s power and intervention.
The album,which includes popular tracks such as ‘N’laweni Dzikoli’, ‘Landitsani Moyo’, and ‘Atikonda Kosaleka’, has already started gaining airplay on various radio stations in Malawi.
In an interview with our journalist, Chisomo Phiri, Wawoh expressed his gratitude to his fans and supporters.
“Your support means the world to me. I look forward to continuing to share my music and message with you all,” he said.
Wawoh revealed plans to take his album tour to various locations, including Zomba, in the coming months.
He also hinted at upcoming events during Easter in March or April.
Reflecting on the growth of gospel music in Malawi, Wawoh said that the quality of compositions, voices, and overall music production has improved significantly over the years.
“I am proud to be part of this journey and grateful for the support of my fans,” he said.
Wawoh expressed his heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the album launch and those who continue to pray for his ministry.
“I am so encouraged by the turnout and support from the people of Malawi.
“It is a great motivation for me to continue spreading the message of hope and faith through my music,” he said.
The album launch was spiced up by performances from other gospel artists, including Evance Meleka, Babra Nyangulu, Rowland Chapola, Khama Khwiliro, Wazisomo Muliya, Saube Kandeu, and the Mighty Ndirande Anglican Voices.
