In a heartwarming display of appreciation for local talent, Maranatha Academy has fulfilled its promise to reward the winners of the MBC Entertainers of the Year Awards. Gospel artist Miracle Chinga and Mighty Mukuru Wanderers forward Isaac Kaliati were each presented with K1 million, recognizing their outstanding contributions to the entertainment industry.
Ernest Kaonga, Managing Director of Maranatha Academy, reiterated the institution’s commitment to supporting local talent. “We are proud to be part of this initiative, which celebrates the achievements of Malawian entertainers. We will continue to sponsor the awards as a way of appreciating the hard work and dedication of our local artists,” Kaonga stated.
This year, Maranatha Academy sponsored the awards with a generous contribution of over K5 million. The Entertainer of Entertainers (male and female) category received K2 million, while winners in 61 other categories were awarded K50,000 each.
