MISA Malawi says is deeply saddened by the untimely death of the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) Editor Isaac Malunga.
Malunga died on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Mwaiwathu Private Hospital in Blantyre.
In a statement, MISA chairperson Golden Matonga says the media fraternity will remember late Malunga as a very humble, dedicated and supportive journalist.
“Our condolences go to the Malunga family, colleagues at MBC and the entire media fraternity.The Malawi media will miss his services,”says Matonga in a statement.
Until his death, Malunga was a Principal Editor in the News and Programmes Department at MBC.
He was also a reader of Nkhani m’Chichewa, the popular Nkhani zam’maboma and Mphangwa Nkhani m’Chisena.
Born on October 15,1972, at Jovilisi Village in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Malemia in Nsanje, is survived by a wife and three children.
He will be laid to to rest at HHI Cemetery in Blantyre on Friday, November 3, 2023.
