Msungama spells out developments in his constituency under President Dr Lazarus Chakwera

Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Secretary General Elsenhower Mkaka on Sunday led thousands people from Lilongwe City South East Constituency, in thanking Malawi President Dr Lazarus Chakwera for enormous development works which has taken place in the constituency just few years in office.

The celebration rally started by a parade from Bagdad to Kaliyeka , venue of the celebration rally.

Speaking during the rally Msungama commended President Chakwera for the enormous development taking place in the constituency.

Msungama said that for the first time his constituency has modern Hospital in Masambabisi and under five clinic in area 23.

Msungama commended Chakwera for the modern road from Matchanse to Malichero.

Msungama said before the end of this year Area 23 to Chipasula road will also be kicking off.

Msungama cited classroom blocks, and bridges as some of tangible developments which have been accomplished in his constituency.

During the rally, Minister of Information Moses Kunkuyu, and Minister of Local Government, who is also Director of Youth, Richard Chimwendo Banda all spoke at length on developments taking place in the country under President Dr Lazarus Chakwera.

As part of Development celebration, Mkaka welcomed into the party UTM Party central region governor Samson Mithenga who resigned from the party and has joined the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).

Mithenga has joined the MCP alongside other UTM party senior members Dilax Chawinga, regional secretary Godfrey Chifomboti, regional treasurer Helbert Thondoya, deputy regional treasurer Sifati Mwanyawa and other members.

In his speech, Mkaka encouraged Malawians that whatever tribulations the country is facing, will come to an end and they are building a team that will assist to address the social-economic challenges.

During the rally Former Minister of Agriculture Lobin Lowe, Party Treasure General Albert Mbawala, Deputy speaker of Parliament Madalitso Kazombo, Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City Centre Alfred Jiya and many more MPs , were in attendance.
