Multichoice to make an update on DSTV services resumption in Malawi on Wednesday

Multichoice Africa Holdings (MAH) says it will give an update, no later than Wednesday December 6 2023, in regards to the resumption of DStv services in the country.

This is coming after the High Court ruled in favour of Multichoice Malawi on Friday December 1,2023, in a case in which Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) was accusing the service provider of flouting the law by not informing the regulator about the proposal to adjust DStv premiums before effecting any adjustments.

“MultiChoice Africa Holdings B.V. (MAH) welcomes the ruling delivered by the High Court in Lilongwe today, in a matter between MultiChoice Malawi and the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA), wherein the court has nullified the decisions of MACRA against the adjustment of DStv tariffs”, reads part of a statement released by MAH.

The case saw MultiChoice Africa Holdings (MAH) withdrawing its services in Malawi.
