Musician Joe Gwaladi to remain in custody till Monday next after denied bail for assaulting wife

Musician Joe Gwaladi will remain in custody till Monday October 30,2023 after Phalombe First Magistrate court through First Grade Magistrate Leonard Mtosa denied him bail on Thursday on the grounds that he has been violating his past bail conditions in previous cases.

Gwaladi is answering charges of grievous harm.

During court appearance on Thursday, the musician pleaded not guilty to the charge of causing grievous harm.

The music icon was arrested on Monday this week on allegations that he assaulted and injured his wife, resulting in the amputation of her left toe.

He hails from Namuthu village in the area of Traditional Authority(T/A) Kaledzera in Phalombe district.
