A car accident in Mzimba on Friday claimed the life of two people The two have been identified as Dr Bongani Kayimila UNC Project Malawi cancer program lead researcher and his father Wales Kayimila.
According to police in the district, the vehicle which the two were travelling in (Mazda Demio) overturned after hitting another vehicle (Toyota hilux) at Tafika on the Mzuzu – Kasungu M1 road
Mzimba police spokesperson Peter Botha has told Zodiak Online another passenger a woman believed to be wife to Wales Kayimila and all the people in the Toyota hilux sustained minor injuries
Bongani and Wales Kayimila were pronounced dead on arrival at Mzimba district hospital.
