National Bank of Malawi (NBM) has donated K3 million to Sports Writers Association of Malawi (Swam) for its Elective General Meeting (EGM) slated for this weekend in Salima.

He said, “This is more than financial support. It is an investment in the voices that tell the stories of our athletes and shape the future of Malawian sports.”

In his remarks, Swam President Mphatso Malidadi thanked National Bank for the timely support and urged other well wishers to follow this kind gesture.

“On behalf of my fellow Swam members I would like to thank National Bank for the support. Despite our late approach to them, they have supported the course with such a timely donation. This shows that they are indeed the bank of the nation,” said Malidadi.

Malidadi appealed for more support from institutions, companies, and individuals as the association needs more support for the EGM.

The Swam’s  Elective General Meeting is expected to take place at Safari Beach in Salima from 21st to 23rd March where an election will take place for various positions.
