The country’s leading financial institution National Bank of Malawi(NBM) plc has today unveiled a K15 million sponsorship for South African Young Stunna’s show, which has been organised by Beerland Festival.
Apart from the sponsorship, NB plc says it will also give out K3.5 million cash prizes to customers who will trade on their MoPay and MO265 platforms during the show and in purchasing tickets to the show.
In an interview with members of the media, NB plc marketing and corporate affairs manager Akossah Hiwa said it is strategic for both the bank and Beerland Festival as they work on fostering a celebration of talent and culture.
Said Hiwa:”Entertainment is one of the sectors that interests us as an institution. We look at this show as a platform for having fun, a cultural celebration since there will be diverse artists and one to promote regional talent.”
On her part, Beerland Festival Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Lucy Msowoya thanked the bank for the sponsorship as it will help them bring life to the event.
“The support strengthens our shared vision of creating memorable moments for our communities. We thank them for believing in the power of music, culture and coexistence,” said Msowoya.
The Young Stunna show will take place on Saturday afternoon at Money Men Ground in Blantyre.
Other artists to feature at the show include Onesimus, Gwamba, Eli Njuchi, Malinga and Temwah.
