NBS Bank launches K14 million savings promotion for farmers

NBS Bank plc on Friday launched a promotion called ‘K14 Million Yonyotsolerana Campaign’ to entice local farmers to save with the commercial bank.

Speaking during the promotion launch at NBS Corporate Banking Presidential Villa in Lilongwe, the bank’s chief retail officer Victoria Chanza said the promotion which will run for three months from June 1 to September 1 this year targets tobacco, groundnut and soya farmers, among others.

“By engaging directly with our customers, we seek to not only promote the importance of savings, but also demonstrate the tangible benefits of banking with NBS Bank.



“With a staggering K14 million in cash prizes up for grabs, we invite  our customers to join us in the exhilarating pursuit of shared success,” she said.

Chanza explained that customers with a minimum of K500 000 in their savings accounts at the time of the launch will automatically enter the competition and be eligible to win assorted prizes.

During last year’s campaign, the bank realized K24 billion against the target of K20 billion and this year they are targeting K24 billion.

NBS Bank is a fully-fledged commercial bank providing various financial services to individuals, small and medium businesses, large corporations and public institutions.

The Bank was incorporated as a limited company on March 14,2003 and was registered under the Banking Act 1989 on  March 1, 2004.

It started its commercial banking operations on  July 1, 2004.
