Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and Silver Strikers on Wednesday finished the TNM Super first round with victories over Karonga United and Silver Strikers.
The Nomads relied on Misheck Botomani’s brace and Muhammad Sukumba’s spot kick to beat the northern region side and get maximum points after playing three consecutive games without a win.
In Dwangwa, Mike Robert and Chawanangwa Kaonga were on target as the central region giants Silver Strikers beat Mafco FC 2-nil at Chitowe Stadium.
With Saturday’s results,the Nomads are now 13-points behind league leaders Nyasa Big Bullets while Silver are 15-points behind the People’s team.
On Saturday, Bullets beat Sable Farming 1-0 to cement their first position on the log table as they finished the first round with 41 points.
