Norman Chisale wins Ntcheu Central Central East DPP primaries

By Vincent Gunde

Democratic Progressive Party’s (DPP) Director of Youth who is also Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika’s personal bodyguard Normn Paulosi Chisale, has won Ntcheu Central Central East primary elections, the elections which decided the future of the constituency.

Chisale’s win in the constituency is a threat to other candidates such as a Mr. Bulilani (Deputy UTM president) who is also eyeing for a parliamentary seat in the constituency and the incumbent Parliamentarian Dr. Albert Mbawala (MCP) who is contemplating to stand independent.

Norman Chisale’s name has been in the peoples’ mind ever since but he did not express his interest to stand in the previous elections but this coming September, 2025 elections, the people have forced him to stand basing on his helping hands which have reached out many including the elderly people.

Chisale will face the incumbent parliamentarian Dr. Albert Mbawala related by blood and according to a reliable source, if Dr. Mbawala was DPP, Chisale would not have thought of standing and he is on record to have told the constituents on the same.

The Source has sounded a strong warning that even if the elections are held today, Norman Chisale would emerge the winner no matter what claiming that many people in the constituency and the district escorted the Malawi Congress Party(MCP) to the grave on 10th June, 2024.

During the primary elections, Chisale won by 3,441 votes, Rodrick Nsamuka 16 and Mrs. Chimanga 5, two candidates Mr. Hastings Chinyama and Nkata withdrew from the race and offered their support to Norman Chisale.

The source said Ntcheu district will not have an MCP candidate to be elected for a parliamentary seat                                     come rain or sunshine saying many people are still demanding answers from the MCP led government on the tragic death of Dr. Saulosi Klaus Chilima.

He said many people in Ntcheu are not believing that President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera himself is not aware of what happened on the tragic death of Dr. Chilima claiming that this another blue lie from the sitting President.

The source has finally advised all MCP candidates wanting to hide through standing as independent candidates in Ntcheu district to forget about the 16th September, 2025 elections, they should serve their resources for other equally important projects of their choice.
