National Registration Bureau (NRB) has disclosed the risen number of registered people in Lilongwe district due to increase of population.
NRB principal secretary Mphatso Sambo clarify this development in a media engagement on Thursday in Lilongwe.

Sambo said since the commencement of the registration over 12 million people aged 16 years and above has been registered, along side more than 3 million birth and 600 thousand
death certificates has been registered, representing 75 % of the people being registered.
Sambo assured the general public that the registration process is continuing according to their plan hence the bureau is committed to register supplementary people national wide.
According to Sambo revealed that the bureau is printing 200 thousand national identity cards monthly inorder to reach their target.
