Lilongwe-based Afro singer Kennedy Kadewere, stage name Papikid, has dropped a new song titled “Vinako”.

In an interview, Papikid said the song encourages people to enjoy life but not to the extent of boring others.

“We can be happy, and everyone is allowed to enjoy, dance, drink, etc., but we should remember not to bore our friends or those around us. Some people drink only to disturb other people’s peace; that should stop. Let’s enjoy while respecting other people’s peace,” he said.

The artist stated that the song was produced at Big Vision Entertainment by CUFF B.

He added that the new song is available on many platforms for downloads, such as YouTube, Boomplay, iTunes, Amazon, among others.

When asked what his fans should expect from him this year,Papikid said: “Vinako is my first song this year, and that is the start of my year. We are going hard this year, and to my fans, I can say, ‘Get ready; Papikid has fun for you this year…fire coming'”.

On his view of the music industry in Malawi, the artist said:”To be honest, we artists are trying, and the way we are all trying, I think, for us to reach higher places, we need to be there for each other…I mean, if someone is releasing his song, let us all support him or her with no hate…we are on the right path lately, and we will be big soon”.

Papikid started singing in 2010 when he released a song titled “You Can Do It”.

He then stopped for a while to focus on his personal career and, in the last two years, released two songs featuring musicians Dan Lu and Joe Kells.
