The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has announced the appointment of Nyasa Big Bullets head coach Kalisto Pasuwa as the interim head coach of Flames, just 48 hours after parting ways with Patrick Mabedi.
The decision follows FAM’s virtual Executive Committee meeting held on Friday.
Pasuwa will be joined by Silver Strikers coach Peter Mponda and Moyale Barracks mentor Pritchard Mwansa as his assistants.
Additionally, Kinnah Phiri and Young Chimodzi have been named Technical Advisors.
Pasuwa’s first task will be to lead the Flames in their upcoming AFCON matches against Burundi and Burkina Faso.
The team will face Burundi on November 15th in Ivory Coast, followed by a home match against Burkina Faso at Bingu National Stadium(BNS) on November 19th.
