Nankhumwa’ PDP to hold convention

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that it will hold its first elective convention which will be expected to be held in Blantyre on 13th to 14th September 2024.


Speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday in Lilongwe PDP publicity secretary Rhodes Msonkho said women, youths and the people with disabilities are encouraged to contest for the position of their interest.

Msokho further says all party positions starting from the president and the rest will be open for the candidates  who are willing to contest



He also announced that  the fees  for the candidates who want to contest for the positions are as follows; for the position of the president will be K 1.5 million, first vice president  and  second vice president K1.3 million, secretary general K1.1 million, treasure general K7000,000, directors K500,000 and all the position of deputy directors are requested to pay K300,000 respectively .

Kondwani Nankhumwa formed the PDP after he was ousted in People’s Democratic Party (DPP) some few months ago.
