The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is set to host a grand fundraising dinner on November 21, 2024, at the Golden Peacock Hotel in Lilongwe, aiming to boost support and resources ahead of the 2025 General Elections. The event will feature PDP Leader Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa as the Guest of Honour, marking a pivotal gathering for party supporters, leaders, and well-wishers.

The dinner, scheduled to start at 6:30 PM, will bring together party members, political allies, and the business community to discuss PDP’s vision and strategies while providing a platform for supporters to contribute to the party’s 2025 election efforts.

According to PDP spokesperson, the fundraising dinner is part of a larger series of events planned to galvanize the party’s base and engage with Malawians on critical issues that PDP seeks to address.
“This event is not only a fundraising opportunity but also a chance for PDP to share our vision with the public, particularly around issues of economic growth, youth empowerment, and social justice,” the spokesperson noted.

Nankhumwa to Outline PDP’s Vision

Dr. Nankhumwa is expected to deliver a keynote address, focusing on PDP’s policy priorities and the party’s plans to address Malawi’s pressing social and economic challenges. Known for his commitment to youth empowerment and economic transformation, Dr. Nankhumwa will use the platform to rally support and articulate PDP’s vision for a prosperous and inclusive Malawi.

“The fundraising dinner is an essential step toward realizing our mission for a better Malawi, where every citizen has access to opportunities, jobs, and a higher quality of life,” Nankhumwa is anticipated to say in his address.

Tickets for the event are available for purchase through the PDP’s Lilongwe office, with various categories catering to individuals, groups, and corporate sponsors. Contributions made during the event will go directly toward PDP’s electoral and community development initiatives, bolstering the party’s ability to reach more Malawians with its message.
