Member of parliament for Thyolo Thava Mary Navitcha has ask the government to furnish more information on the death of late Vice president Saulos Klaus Chilima and eight others who died on a plane crash on 10th June.
Navitcha stood on a point of order in parliament on Friday after the German Investigators released their report on the causes of the plane crash which are circulating in various social media.
She said: ” I ask the minister of Transport and public works
to furnish the report to the house with proper information on the report, and the minister said it’s not about government to furnish the information ,go on website you find everything there.
” So I was wondering because parliament is very important organ of government, we are 193 members and our duty is to represent people in various constituencies and coming in of this report could have given us an access to information on what exactly is in a report thats why I stood for a point of order.
She stated that people are angry because there is on clarification on the report hence people have got so many questions to ask the government and the government is running away from responding to the people’s questions as well the members of Parliament in the house.
She added that both members of parliament and people are very angry because government is running away to furnish the information.
