United Nations Country Representative Rabecca Adah-Dontoh has called on Public Relations(PR) practitioners and Communicators in the country to internalise Malawi 2063 and become advocates for the country’s social economic development.
Adah-Dontoh made the call in Mangochi at the Public Relations Society of Malawi (PRSM) 2023 Annual Lakeshore Conference.
“We should be also honest and proud of Malawi when talking. When I go around the country, all we hear is that Malawi is a poor country.

“This narrative has to change because Malawi has a lot of beautiful things which we need to be talking about so that people might be interested to come and visit the country,” said Rabecca.
She added that communication is a development enabler hence the need for the practitioners to be forward thinking and initiate conversations that will make a difference.
The lakeshore conference was held under the theme: “Complete Communicator.”
The conference gathered over one hundred public relations practitioners across the country.
