Ramadan food packs bring relief to Chiradzulu families

By Shaffie A Mtambo

The Limbe Muslim Jamaat (LMJ) has distributed Ramadan food packs to 1,100 families in Chiradzulu District, bringing much-needed relief to those struggling with hunger.

The distribution event, held at Chiradzulu Secondary School, highlighted the importance of sharing and charity during the holy month of Ramadan.

The food packs, containing essential items such as maize flour, beans, sugar, salt, and soya pieces, will help alleviate hunger and bring hope to the recipients.

This initiative is a testament to the LMJ’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities during Ramadan and beyond.

Freda Chilungo, a beneficiary from Kanyenda village, expressed her gratitude to LMJ, saying the donation will greatly assist her family.

Her sentiments were echoed by many other recipients, who were visibly moved by the kindness shown to them.

Ibrahim Omar, LMJ’s Public Relations Officer, emphasized the significance of sharing during Ramadan.

He encouraged Muslim brothers and sisters to give generously, citing charity as a fundamental aspect of Islam.

The LMJ’s Ramadan food pack distribution is part of a larger initiative aimed at reaching 11,000 families.
