Among other things, Chirwa said the money will be used to organize rallies and pay nomination fees.
He added that he plans to hold large rallies in Lilongwe, Blantyre, and other districts in August this year, and has urged people to support him,in his quest to bring about change in the country.
Chirwa has been involved in politics for many years and has run for presidency before.
He has a strong following among some Malawians, particularly those who are dissatisfied with the current political leadership.
In 2019,Chirwa attempted to run for presidency but was disqualified by the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) due to his failure to pay the required 2 million kwacha nomination fee, which was required for presidential candidates.
