Malawi’s media fraternity is mourning up and coming journalist Kumbukani Maneya who has reportedly died in road accident on December 26,2023 in Lilongwe.
Chairperson of Misa Malawi Golden Matonga says the fraternity is deeply saddened by Maneya’s untimely departure; adding he was hardworking.
“Until his death, Maneya was an intern at PLFM and a third year journalism student at Pentecostal Life University(PLU). He also briefly worked with Nkhoma Synod Radio,” says Matonga.
He adds that the media fraternity will remember Maneya as an up-and-coming journalist who was willing to learn and greatly valued teamwork.
Maneya will be laid to rest later today at HHI cemetery in Blantyre.
