Robbers break into Patrick Mabedi’s home in SA, went away with trophies and medals

Robbers this week broke into Malawi National Team Interim Coach Patrick ‘General’ Mabedi’s home in Johannesburg, South Africa and went away with his soccer medals and trophies.

According to soccerladuma.com, the house was left in the care of his daughter and that the incident took place when she was away to Malawi.

The former Amakhosi star has since appealed to the general public to help the police to find the criminals and recover his memorable items.

“I am not fine. When my daughter was here in Malawi and her friend left the house, then the people broke into my house (in Johannesburg) and stole household things including my trophies and medals that I had won as a player. So, if anyone saw someone selling trophies they must report it to the nearest police station. You know these are treasured memories as players or athletes. Its really sad that people can just break in and steal your valuable items like that,” Mabedi told Soccer Laduma.

“So, please help me spread the message and help me recover those things. I appeal to everyone who come across the Absa premiership trophies and medals to report that to the police. I will really appreciate that and any help I can get to have my trophies and medals back.”
