Renewable energy company Sky Energy Africa on Friday unveiled a K20 million sponsorship towards the Gwamba Concert slated for September 21, 2024 at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.
Speaking when unveiling the partnership, Sky Energy Africa head of operations Kondwani Tchereni said the partnership marks a significant step in their ongoing mission to raise awareness about renewable energy and environmental conservation using the art and entertainment platform.
“The support we are announcing today is based on the proposals we have been receiving as regards our camping we have been running since last year.
“Based on the concept of both our camping and the profile of Gwamba as an artist, we believe this is this is the perfect platform to drive that message home,” said Tchereni.
On his part, Gwamba said it is pleasing to see private companies showing commitment in supporting art in Malawi.
He said:”When companies come in to pump in money like that we are able to do things in a different way. We have the hunger to scale greater heights.
“Between now and the time of the show there will be a lot of events promoting both the show and the services that Sky Energy Africa provides as part of this collaboration.”
The show will be a celebration of the artist’s fifteen years in the music industry.
