The icon of Malawi music that is Soldier Lucius Banda has left the King’s Land , England on his way returning home after a short tour of the UK . Banda was in the UK to perform at this years Malawi Independence celebration with the key event taking place in Essex a week ago
Under the invitation of Malawi Association UK working alongside the Malawi Embassy in the UK, Soldier performed at 59th Malawi independence celebration at the Grand Ballroom Suite in Romford Essex on July 8. The show also featured Wendy Harawa. The star also had a private performances in Leeds and Nottingham
Writing on his Facebook page , Soldier wrote “This evening I return home to Malawi, it has been so humbling to see how much I have been supported during my tour here in the Uk.
A few families sacrificed alot in different ways making sure that I and my daughter were well taken care of, I thank each and every one of you for your love and care”
Soldier went on to say he goes home carrying very good memories of the UK , especially the people who attended the shows, Essex, Nottingham and Leeds.
