Sparc Systems has on Thursday April 11,2024 donated K10 million to the Malawi Confederation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (MCCCI) in support of its forthcoming Lakeshore Business Leaders’ summit to be held from April 25 to 27,2024 at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge in Mangochi.
Speaking during the cheque presentation, Sparc Systems founder and Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Wisely Phiri said his organisation made the donation to complement an important dialogue between industry captains on the best strategies to unlock the private sector’s potential as an engine for economic growth.
He said this is the second time for his company to support the summit.
Said Phiri:”This is the second time we are coming in to support the summit.
“Last year we supported the meeting as well because we appreciate that it is where Chief Executive Officers meet to discuss how they could shape their businesses according to the prevailing macroeconomic environment.”
On her part, MCCCI CEO Daisy Kambalame thanked Sparc Systems for the donation saying it will go a long way in meeting some of the costs of the indaba.
“We have some keynote speakers from abroad, some social and networking events lined up at the summit.
“All this would not be possible without financing from our key partners,” said Kambalame.
She said the summit will be held under the ‘Re-engineering Businesses to Withstand Economic Shocks’.
